I mean, I’m not being a grinch, but there are tens of millions of us around the globe having birthdays around my era thinking “where the f**k did that go!”

Anyhoooo, is it me or has Arsenal-mania just suddenly disappeared? Like up until last weekend the whole world was red and now we’re back to as it always was.

I tell you what, it’s a sign of the times. It’s the world of instant gratification, digital trends, imbibe, chew and spit out content and move onto the next thing. I mean it almost became embarrassing to wear an Arsenal top even for some of my old-school Gooner mates because every other gimp chucked one on to be part of the euphoria. But good riddance I say.

Have I got it all wrong or was it because after the madness of winning the Premier League title, Mikel Arteta s**t his panties and lost the Champions League final?
