Shooters chased down second victim after killing their first target
TWO men were shot dead within minutes of each other near the Athlone Magistrate's Court yesterday.
A chilling eyewitness account has revealed that the men were targeted by gunmen after leaving the courthouse.
Crime-scene experts moved between two cordoned-off locations as Athlone police opened two separate murder dockets.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said: "Our our crime scene experts are currently on two scenes near Athlone Magistrate's court combing the areas for clues."
The first attack unfolded at 1.45pm, when a 32-year-old man was shot and killed while sitting in a car about 50 metres from the court.
