Three dead in Delft mass shooting

THE community of Delft was rocked by a deadly mass shooting early yesterday morning which left three men dead in what is believed to be a gang-related incident.

The incident took place around 5.30am in Sandrivier Street, Leiden, where the three men were gunned down in the street by unidentified gunmen who fled the scene.

Police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut confirmed that the South African Police Service are probing the killings and more boots are on the ground to curb the ongoing gang violence.

Traut reported: "Anti-Gang Unit detectives have initiated an investigation into three counts of murder following a shooting incident in Sandrivier Street, Leiden, Delft, at approximately 5.30am.
