Alleged Mongrels gang member hunted down & shot dead trying to escape shooter op n dak

MORE gang violence erupted on the Cape Flats as a teenager was found dead on a roof in Retreat.
A laaitie was found shot dead as he tried to escape gunfire by climbing on a dak in Beethoven Street.
It is alleged that the deceased was a member of the Mongrels gang.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg says: “Steenberg police registered a murder case for investigation after the body of a 19-year-old man was found on the roof of a premises in Beethoven Street, Retreat, on Saturday, 24 May 2025 at about 21pm.
“According to reports police members were called to the crime scene where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his chest.
