SA mourns death of radio legend Scott and Tsotsi's iconic star Chweneyagae

TRIBUTES have been pouring in on social media following the death of South African veteran radio host and Boots & All presenter Darren Scott.

Scott had been diagnosed with stage 4 malignant melanoma (cancer).

During his career, Scott worked at well-known radio stations including East Coast Radio, 5FM, Radio Bop and also presented his Just Plain Breakfast show on Jacaranda FM. His last radio spot was at Hot 102.7FM.

Scott, who was famously voted into the SA Radio Hall of Fame, once said: “I don’t have a voice or persona that I use on radio. I’m the same person on or off air - what you see is what you get.”
