Reds win gives the Blues hope
Daily Voice
|May 06, 2025
HELLO my good football people, I trust all is well your side... it’s certainly a bit nervy for me, squeaky bum time as we hit the business end of the season.
-
I'm still not confident of a Chelsea top-five finish (Champions League football next season), but Sunday’s 3-1 win against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge certainly gives great hope.
It was a game the Blues just had to win and leaves third, fourth and fifth place wide open for the five sides in contention after Newcastle fought back to earn a point at Brighton.
It's strange, this season has felt poor for Chelsea, but here we sit just four points off “brilliant” Arsenal, who might not even finish second!
My (football) fantasy is Paris Saint-Germain knocking the Gunners out of the Champions League and Chelsea making a top-five finish. Both outcomes are very possible!
What would this mean?
Well, after another season of big mouthed, arrogant, entitled Gooners taking the p**s out of me, we will actually be achieving exactly the same.
Mutiny
