'GARDEN VILLAGE SHOOTING WAS GANG RETALIATION'

A DEADLY gang war spilled into Garden Village, Maitland, on Sunday night, killing two men and injuring two more in what officials believe is retaliation for an earlier hit in Goodwood.

The incident took place in Discovery Avenue around 7.55pm where a woman and three men came under attack.

Two men were fatally wounded and declared dea don the scene by medical personnel.

Meanwhile, the two other victims, a man and a woman, were wounded and rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

The motive for the attack is yet to be determined and forms part of the police investigation.
