Police described killers Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe – who were just 15 when they stabbed the 16-yearold transgender girl 28 times – as “intelligent”.

Judge Mrs Justice Yip decided the killers, now both 16, should be named before jailing them for life at Manchester Crown Court.

Jenkinson was ordered to serve a minimum of 22 years while Ratcliffe must do 20 years for his part in the “sadistic” murder in a park in Warrington, Cheshire, last February.
