HE’S the standout signing of the Premier League this season, a midfield superstar in the making with top quality and ferocious work rate. 

Yet Liverpool’s capture of Dominik Szoboszlai went somewhat under the radar when they quietly announced the signing of the £60m Hungary skipper in July.

There were even questions asking why they had spent so much on a relatively unknown player. But he was far from unknown to Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team, who were well aware of the qualities which the manager believed he could harness in a new role at Anfield.

Szoboszlai is in the top five for distance covered in the Premier  League and has recorded the third fastest speed in the top flight this season.
