Luna rocket crashes into moon surface

MAD Vlad Putin has been left humiliated after Russia's robot spacecraft crashed into the moon.

The 800kg Luna-25 probe was launched after Putin spent "tens of billions of rubles" on the nation's first moon mission for 50 years.

But Russia's Space Agency admitted it smashed to smithereens when it span out of control while plummeting to the surface.

Roskosmos officials said they lost contact with the craft on Saturday after it suffered an "abnormal situation"
