JAMIE VARDY is determined to stay in the Premier League after annoucing he is leaving Leicester.

The 38-year-old former England international will bring down the curtain on his glittering 13-year career with the Foxes at the end of the season.

Vardy won the Premier League and FA Cup with Leicester, along with 26 caps for England, in a rags-to-riches tale that is unlikely to be repeated.

But Starsport understands the striker still views himself as capable of doing a job in the top flight, and is angling to remain there.
