67-year-old drowned trying to save teen

A “SELFLESS hero” died trying in vain to save a mum and her teenage daughter from drowning in the sea.

Mark Ratcliffe, 67, braved horrifying 12ft waves in Withernsea, East Riding, on Friday after seeing 15-year-old Grace Keeling cry out for help.

He joined her mum Sarah Keeling, 45, who had waded into the water to try to reach her daughter.
