'English' served a Rudi awakening on Wirtz

WORLD CUP winner Rudi Voller says Florian Wirtz will “show the English" how good he is - despite a rough start to his Anfield career.

Wirtz briefly became the most expensive signing in Reds’ history when arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in a £116m deal this summer, a transfer that was later surpassed by Alexander Isak’s £125m move from Newcastle.

Despite providing an assist for Hugo Ekitike four minutes into his competitive debut in the Community Shield, the German has yet to provide another goal contribution having made a further eight appearances.
