BEN STOKES reckons success in his native country will be down to his players showing the right attitude.

Stokes returns to the land of his birth as proud captain of the England Test team with his mum and Kiwi family watching on at Mount Maunganui.

And he will be hoping to build on his record so far of nine wins out of 10 as skipper by playing a brand of cricket that has taken the sport by storm.

In this Ashes year, England begin their 2023 Test campaign with a day-night match tomorrow and Stokes said: “The batting group have got a huge understanding of what they can do now because we’ve let them be free.
