No Mbeumo, so Slovenia hitman has the perfect chance to show he can steal Old Trafford stage
BENJAMIN SESKO has been a slow mover so far at Manchester United - but now he has his chance to really strut his stuff on the Premier League dancefloor.
And that would be the perfect Christmas present for manager Ruben Amorim, who is having to tackle the festive season without Bryan Mbeumo.
The 26-year-old French-born striker, who is away with Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations, has settled in the quickest of all the summer signings.
Slovenia international Sesko has, however, found it tougher going.
Two goals in his first 13 appearances tells the story of a centre-forward still getting to grips with the role.
Joshua Zirkzee has never convinced up top and Rasmus Hojlund is now scoring goals for Napoli, having struggled to do the same for United.
In search of a solution, boss Amorim spent nearly £74m on signing Sesko from RB Leipzig in the summer.
Hojlund could attest that leading the line in this system doesn't come with a guarantee of chances.
The Dane didn't look up to the job, but his frustration also regularly boiled over when the final pass never came or opportunities didn't find their way to him.
