❑ I was so sad to hear of Gene Hackman’s passing. I never saw the ‘French Connection’, but we had a Dvd, I seem to have misplaced, about a woman who witnessed a murder, in a Hotel. Gene was the woman’s legal representative, and had to go on a perilous journey on a train, to evade the villains. It was our go to movie when we fancied a good thriller. I haven’t seen the film mentioned in the papers, but it deserves equal credit. If only I could find it. And another thing do
