MILLIE BRIGHT was branded “slow” as the former England centre-back's record-breaking day fell flat.

Chelsea dropped points for the third time this season, with the Women's Super League champions’ shaky title defence taking its latest hit after they were held by the rock-bottom Reds.

Bright went past Jordan Nobbs in making a WSL record 211th appearance but the out of sorts Blues skipper was hauled off at halftime on an afternoon to forget at St Helens Stadium.

Unbeaten Chelsea stay second and had the consolation of going a league-best 34th game without defeat - an impressive mark stretching back 18 months.
