NHS needs humans not box-tickers and apps
Daily Star
|August 27, 2025
NHS app, no we need nurses doctors and porters, bring back matrons, who run tight ships but can also do the job of medical care, get the gp’s off the golf course so people can actually see them, not a phone call a face to face like we had in 1976, don't need apps we need action job of medical care not over payed box tickers and clipboard holders with no medical knowledge, our doctors and nurses are wonderful, in oncology where sadly i've had to go with my mother many times, they are all a godsend they are brilliant beyond words, human beings in need, need human beings not app. Anon

I’ve just read that there could be a ban of loud music on the bus and train, which I very much agree, maybe add to that ban conversations on speaker phone. I was on the bus one day last week and there was a young girl talking about someone that was in hospital OMG every detail was echoed over the bus as she was on speaker the poor woman they were discussing would have been horrified she obviously had a bowel problem the conversation was very indepth every detail of that poor womans problems it went on for my whole journey, by the time I had got off the bus I felt I knew the woman in hospital personally. Pub pints an unaffordable luxury now
Kier starmer has been to that many different countries he doesn’t know what's going on in England, he thinks giving pubs and clubs longer licensing to stay open is going to keep them open, nobody is using pubs and clubs because they have not got the money to go out more than one or two nights a week, half the price of drinks or beiter still go back to 1980s opening times and 1980s prices of drinks, a stoppy back after time was a luxury everyone thought was great. mettyesh Durham
