Danny backs returning Brooks

BROOKS KOEPKA has returned to the PGA Tour to compete with Rory Mcllroy and Scottie Scheffler and win more Majors.

And his friend Danny Willett has claimed the American deserved special treatment after quitting LIV Golf - because he is a five-time Major winner.

The former world No.1 will tee up at the Farmers Insurance Open in California next week after he took advantage of the new ‘Returning Members Program’. This allows LIV Golf stars who have won Majors since 2022 to rejoin without serving a ban.

Koepka signed for $150m - with half up front - and will give up the $15m of the final year of his five-year contract as well as donate $5m to charity as the price of his comeback.

Speaking before this week's Hero Dubai Desert Classic, ex-Masters champion Willett (inset) said: “The PGA Tour will be better with him. That is a fact.
