LUKE THOMPSON is making up for lost time with Wigan after finally shaking off a frustrating calf injury.
The dynamic England prop faces Castleford on Friday in only his second game back after seven weeks out.
He returned to action in Friday’s 18-4 win over derby rivals St Helens and now hopes to help the champions secure second spot.
Thompson (inset), 30, featured in last year’s Grand Final win after joining from Canterbury and hopes to guide Matt Peet’s side to another on October 11.
