LESLEY Manville has made a Christmas plea for donations to support those suffering from dementia.
The acclaimed actress, 69, who's an ambassador for Alzheimer's Society, lost her mum Jean to the disease in 2010, aged 87.
She said: “Christmas is meant to be the most wonderful time of the year.
“But for nearly a million people living with dementia, the bright lights, busy homes, and changes in routine can feel overwhelming.
