JAMES TRAFFORD is turning out to be a top goalkeeper - but his grandpa Bill wanted him to be a jockey.

Trafford comes from farming stock in Cumbria and his grandad would only contemplate him being a jockey if he didn't follow in the family tradition.

Climbing to 6ft 4ins as a teenager put paid to that, but Trafford reached the perfect height to pursue his ambitions to be a goalkeeper.

"It's always been my two cousins and then me and my sister," said the Burnley keeper.
