Striker threat delights Maresca
-
ENZO MARESCA claims Chelsea are a "different team" when Nicolas Jackson plays.
The Senegal striker returned from two months out with a hamstring strain to hit the post in the opening minute against Tottenham on Thursday - and his pace terrorised the high Spurs defence.
Cole Palmer, on his return, provided an assist for Enzo Fernandez to score the winner to lift the Blues back into the Premier League's top four.
But the Chelsea manager said £35m forward Jackson, who last scored against tomorrow's opponents Brentford back in December, had been the main man.
"Nico for us, he's an important player because he's a threat," said the Italian. "He's a threat for the defensive line. Off the ball, he's pressing everyone. With Nico, we are a different team."
