JACK DRAPER revealed he overcame a fitness scare before beginning his bid to emulate his idol Andy Murray on the London grass this summer.

The British No.1 wrote: “Good to be home” on the TV camera after beating American Jenson Brooksby 6-3 6-1 in the first round of the HSBC Championships.

Under a scorching sun, his warm-up for Wimbledon started with a rapid win in his first grasscourt match of the season at Queen's Club, against the world No.149.

His victory was only delayed in the second set for treatment to a spectator who had fainted in the heat.
