IF timing is everything in sport, then Lando Norris is entering the 2025 season home straight in perfect position.

For four races in succession, McLaren's Brit racer had been forced to choke on Max Verstappen’s dust, watching the four-time world champion - the most intimidating man on the grid - take three victories and a second.

But in Mexico City on Sunday, Norris not only put Verstappen back in his place, he left his teammate Oscar Piastri trailing on the track - and by a point in the title race.
