PROPER HEIRESS (9.06) can make his rivals see red and keep hopes alive of a rare UK winner of the famous race

- by JONATHAN HOBBS

Mark Wallis’ champion, a multiple Category One winner on this side of the Irish Sea, came through a brilliant battle with Cheap Sandwiches seven days go and can build on that performance by outgunning his rivals, perhaps into the turn and onwards if coming away.

Admittedly, there is serious pace next door in Singalong Curly and Phoenix Memphis but the all-round pace of Proper Heiress can win the day.

The aforementioned CHEAP SANDWICHES (8.32) can regain the winning thread in heat one.
