IN last season's renewal of the Group Two Lowther Stakes, run over six furlongs at York, Ed Walker sent out Celandine to land the spoils.

He will be very hopeful of repeating the trick with ROYAL FIXATION (1.50).

Having beaten a subsequent winner on her debut at Thirsk in June when as green as a Kent cabbage, the daughter of Palace Pier stepped up on that effort when runner-up to Venetian Sun - who had earlier scored at Royal Ascot - in a Group Two contest at Newmarket last month over today's trip.

And the form of that race was given a boost when the fifth, Spicy Marg, came out and obliged at Goodwood.

In 2023, Clive Cox snared the Harry's Half Million By Goffs with Dragon Leader and last year the Lambourn trainer saddled Diligently to plunder the rich bounty.
