Good news/bad news. Good, because those who are in greatest need get to retain their benefit seemingly in perpetuity. Bad, because those who are swinging the lead also get to keep theirs. Better to reintroduce face to face assessments, which were dropped by the Tories during COVID and never restored, and test everyone. If it's determined someone has a truly life-limiting condition were there’s no chance of recovery, of which there are many, then grant benefits with no need for reassessment.
