'Del' was cast as Dad's Army Jones
SIR David Jason has told how he was handed a lead role in Dad's Army before a BBC boss confessed he'd already given the job to Clive Dunn.
The 84-year-old said he was told he had got the part to play Lance Corporal Jones, inset above, by show creator David Croft after an audition.
