Wrench battling back after knee nightmare

AFTER spending almost a year on the sidelines, it's no surprise Warrington's Connor Wrench relishes every chance he gets to run onto a pitch again.

The talented centre will do that again today as he continues his come back from a ruptured ACL when Wolves host Huddersfield.

Yet it's nothing new for him: at 23, Wrench (inset, centre) has already suffered the shattering knee injury twice in his blossoming career.

The England Knights ace said: "I have done it twice now, so it is twice as bad.

“But I am really happy. I said to the lads the other day that when you're playing, you just take it for granted. You get paid to do it.

"You enjoy it. But when you get paid to not do it, it's weird. You don't know what you've got until it's gone.
