Mbeumo can answer Amorim’s prayers

- by ALEX HANKIN

BRYAN WILL BE BLESSED

BRYAN MBEUMO can put himself firmly on the Old Trafford map today.

Rested, then quickly unrested, in midweek at fourth-tier Grimsby, the Manchester United newbie showed he knows how to get to goal, no matter where it’s put.

Poor Ruben Amorim had probably never even heard of Cleethorpes before Wednesday’s cup of horrors.

So on the upside, the Portuguese is at least getting to see some hidden gems of the English seaside before he exits, presumably for somewhere less dark and wet.

The United boss was 6-4 in the Sack Race ahead of this round of games, though he'll have to get a wriggle on to beat Graham Potter to the labour exchange.

Defeat against Burnley (3pm) might get Amorim over the line - but I fancy United to bounce back here after seeing the Clarets shredded down the flanks by Tottenham in week one.

And Mbeumo looks — bob-on ‘score or assist’ at 5-6 (Paddy Power) which comes with the handy Super Sub concession.

United cross-king Bruno Fernandes is fair at 11-4 (Boylesports) ‘OVER 0.5 assists’.
