AUSTRALIA have reduced Bazball to ashes.

- with JEREMY CROSS X@CROSSYDAILYSTAR

Demolishing England in the opening two Tests Down Under and leaving Brendon McCullum's side staring down the barrel of another crushing experience at the hands of the greatest enemy.

And England's reward appears to be a golfing break in Noosa.

Which is nothing short of ridiculous, considering those wizards of Oz have left Ben Stokes & Co looking like a shambolic combination of Tin Men, Scarecrows and Cowardly Lions.

In other words, lacking brains, heart and courage.

And the best the mastermind behind England's embarrassing, but historically familiar capitulation, can come up with as an explanation is that his team trained too much before the second Test.

McCullum doesn't normally conduct media interviews during a series.

He speaks before one and then after.

But he broke with tradition in Brisbane - and probably wishes he hadn't bothered now.

"I actually feel like we overprepared," said McCullum.
