Every day I see people trying to pay for goods worth over £100 with a contactless card.

Attwood picture please! Dave, Chester

They should know that's the limit, and this proves banks can prevent you paying anytime they want to. This is what's coming if we go cashless. Banks will control what you spend how much and when and not you, they will even prevent you buying certain items they don't approve of and only so many of what they say you can buy depending on what your social credit score is. Regards the unauthorized proposed national ID cards I think the British electorate have a right to know how much money has already been spent on this clearly unpopular idea. ID cards that weren't in the manifesto and therefore not approved by the electorate - it is clear therefore that a vote needs to be put before the British people before anymore money is spent on preparing the ground for what will be and is a controversial subject.
