ANGRY WISSA'S FEELING ANTI-SOCIAL
Daily Star
|August 19, 2025
WANTAWAY Brentford striker Yoane Wissa has taken drastic action in a bid to force through his move to Newcastle.
The 28-year-old (right) has removed all references to the club on his social media profile in retaliation at what he believes are attempts by the Bees to block his exit.
The profile picture on the striker's Instagram account now just shows a black circle.
Wissa is unhappy with Brentford for apparently raising his price tag to £60m, believing there was an understanding 12 months ago that he could leave this summer for around half that fee.
Newcastle have been chasing the DR Congo star for months but are now at risk of missing out on him.
They have already had a bid of £26m rejected but had hoped to negotiate a compromise figure slightly below what they were led to believe was the £40m valuation.
