UK's hotter than Greece as we get a taste of spring

BRITAIN will be warmer than Greece as a 500 mile-wide subtropical air plume brings a record-nudging 18C early spring today.

But winter will bite back with a vengence next month as the seasons go into a U-turn.

Today's highs will nudge the February 15 record of 18.2C thanks to a waft of warm air from the Azores.

And Britain will be hotter than 16C Corfu, following on from a balmy 16C Valentine's.
