JUSTIN'S MATURED INTO MORE COMPLETE PLAYER

- by NEIL SQUIRES

JUSTIN ROSE believes he has an extra bullet in his gun when it comes to Major Championship golf these days - despite approaching what is the autumn of his career.

Rose, 45, who missed the cut in Canada on Friday, is hot favourite to be named Europe's Ryder Cup captain for 2027.

But after being edged out by Rory Mcllroy in a photo-finish at the Masters, he feels he can once again be a contender again at this week's US Open at Oakmont.

He won the championship in 2013 at Merion (right) while becoming the first Englishman in 43 years to do so, but feels that he is a more complete player now.

"I've putted the ball better in the last five or six years than I did throughout my 20s and 30s," he said.
