Howe's hoping to strike a chord with Woltemade

EDDIE HOWE has addressed Nick Woltemade's mid-season slump behind the scenes ahead of Newcastle's trip to Wolves.

The £69million striker has gone six games without scoring and has also slipped down the pecking order after Yoane Wissa returned to fitness after a knee injury.

Woltemade had lit up Newcastle’ season with nine goals in all competitions after his big-money move from Stuttgart.

But the concerns that he was a developing talent - expressed by Bayern Munich, who wouldn't pay the asking price for the 23-year-old — have started to seep through.
