Luna and Plusza rescued from heavy shelling
TWO lionesses rescued from Ukraine have found a permanent home in Scotland.
Luna and Plusza will be given sanctuary at Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder, West Lothian.
The animals were evacuated from an area affected by heavy shelling in eastern Ukraine in 2022 before embarking on a journey to safety across Europe.
They were first sheltered in Kyiv before moving to Poland and later to Natuurhulpcentrum in Belgium, where plans were made to transfer the animals to Scotland.
