KILMARNOCK manager Stuart Kettlewell says specialist officials are needed to solve Scottish football's refereeing woes.
Kettlewell was sent off by Kevin Clancy during Killie's 3-0 defeat to Rangers as his frustrations at refereeing decisions boiled over and he booted a water bottle.
The Rugby Park boss, who will attend a meeting between managers and officials next week, feels experts dedicated to different refereeing roles, whether that's VAR or fourth officials, are required.
Kettlewell said: "If you're asking me on aspects we could get to the right outcome more often than not, then we need specialists.
