Claire Sweeney tells us she's having a ball on Corrie and why she hopes her character Cassie will be Steve's eighth wife
-
Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney is hoping for wedding bells in Weatherfield - because she's never been married in real life.
The actress, 53, plays chaotic Cassie Plummer on the soap, who is currently falling for the seven-times-married Steve McDonald, played by Simon Gregson.
"I would love us to get married," Claire said. "I said this to Simon the other day. He went, 'Oh, not another wedding.' But I'm not married in real life. I've never been married."
If Cassie were to tie the knot on Corrie, it would mark Claire's second TV wedding.Dit verhaal komt uit de March 08, 2025-editie van Daily Record.
