Starmer leads in diplomacy stakes

KEIR Starmer is right that we need cool heads following Israeli air strikes on Iran.

Israel launched widescale attacks on the Iranian regime, saying it was targeting nuclear and military sites.

The move has caused fears of a full-scale conflict after Iran's Supreme Leader said there would be “severe punishment” for the attack.

The Prime Minister has now called for both sides to step back and reduce tensions. He has realised the only way to get Iran to give up nuclear weapons is through talking.
