SE's secret doubts on resort bid

A SCOTTISH business quango which has backed Flamingo Land's plan to build a Loch Lomond mega-resort has expressed doubts in private.

Minutes from a Scottish Enterprise (SE) meeting on October 25 last year show bosses found the controversial £40million bid had “no clear alignment” with their “mission focus’.

They also noted “vocal public opposition’ to plans.

The meeting was held a month after Loch Lomond national park chiefs unanimously threw out the plans for the 46-acre resort.
