I'm still Snakebite when all's said and done

PETER WRIGHT says he can't cage the monster and vowed to keep being Snakebite.

The two-time world champion has refuted notions he's putting the alter-ego aside as he advances in years.

Wright played at the recent Players Championship without the trademark look which he has carried through the majority of his PDC career.

It was suggested he'd cut the head off the snake for good, but the 55-yearold is adamant that's not going to happen and he'll be all dressed up in his usual madcap and colourful festive attire for his Worlds opener against Noa-Lynn van Leuven.

Wright said: "No, no, no, that's not true. That was only in Minehead because I was on Stage Two and I know they only show the last three darts in your match, if you're lucky. So there's no point dressing up and having my hair done and everything.
