Refugee's stab threat dismissed as 'flippant'

Inquiry told of manager's call over hotel knifeman shot dead

AN ASYLUM seeker who was shot dead after going on a knife spree had threatened to stab somebody before.

But the threat was dismissed as a "flippant comment", a fatal accident inquiry into the death of Badreddin Abdalla Adam Bosh heard yesterday.

Bosh was shot and killed after he stabbed six people at Glasgow city centre's Park Inn hotel on June 26, 2020.

Steven Robbins, 42, the former regional head of Mears, which was contracted by the Home Office to deal with asylum seeker residencies, was the first to give evidence to the inquiry.
