Cops reopen case into driver of 4x4 that killed two eight-year-old pupils

- BY DAN WARBURTON

REARREST OVER SCHOOL CRASH

THE driver of a 4x4 which ploughed into a primary school and killed two pupils has been rearrested more than 18 months after the crash.

Claire Freemantle, 48, was held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She had been initially arrested after eight-year-olds Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau died in the tragedy on the last day of term in July 2023.

Prosecutors took no further action after it was found Freemantle had a fit before smashing through the fence of The Study Prep School, in Wimbledon, south-west London.

But following concerns raised by Selena's and Nuria's families, a police review found "lines of enquiry which required further examination".
