Russian tyrant claims 'flying Chernobyl' is ready to lift off

A NEW Russian nuclear weapon dubbed a flying Chernobyl is feared to be a major threat to the UK.

President Vladimir Putin has described the missile as invincible.

And the despot issued a stark warning to the UK after confirming Russia had tested the new missile, which has an effectively unlimited range because it is nuclear-powered.

The 9M730 Burevestnik, a nuclear-capable missile called SSC-X-9 Skyfall by Nato, was tested last Tuesday.

Valery Gerasimov, chief of the general staff of Russia's armed forces, confirmed that it travelled 8700 miles on the test and was in the air for around 15 hours.

Putin said the weapon was unique, with no other state having it.
