Rangers swoop for another Wolfsburg winger and if Skov Olsen makes the same kind of impact as Cerny last term he will be a hit

THE last winger Rangers snared from Wolfsburg on loan didn't do too badly.

After a tough start to life at Ibrox back in the summer of 2024, Vaclav Cerny went on to become a fans' favourite.

And not just because he soaked a Celtic fan with his water bottle at Parkhead while celebrating an Old Firm win! No, Cerny's quality eventually lit up the Premiership as the Czech international justified the £8million fee the German side paid FC Twente to get him.

Now, it's a case of deja vu for the Gers support as they once again get excited about another wide player potentially arriving from the Volkswagen Arena.

When news broke from Germany about their interest in Denmark star Andreas Skov Olsen on Sunday night, there was widespread approval across the Ibrox fanbase.

After all, the 26-year-old was excellent at Bologna and then electric at Club Brugge before being snapped up by the Bundesliga outfit last January for approximately £12m.

So if he's available until the end of the season and Gers can afford to do a deal, surely it's a no-brainer for Danny Rohl? After all, he has been on the club's radar since Giovanni van Bronckhorst was gaffer a few years ago.

But it's not as simple as that.

For a start, given his pedigree, there will be plenty of eyes on Skov Olsen from across Europe.
