Dons ace takes blame for leaving side short
NICKY DEVLIN has apologised to his Aberdeen teammates for the red card that cost them all three points against Falkirk.
The stand-in captain was booked for a challenge on Calvin Miller but VAR intervened and upgraded it to a red.
The Dons went on to lose 1-0 and remain bottom of the Premiership without a goal or a point. Devlin said: “Of course [I apologised]. I told them I didn't think we'd have lost the game if we had 11 players on the park.
“That completely falls on me. Tm the one that made the tackle so from that point of view it is completely my fault.
“The red card was a major turning point in the game and that’s on me, getting sent off.
“T don't think it's a game we would have lost if we had 11 men on the park.
“Tdon't think we were great but we created good opportunities to score in the first half when it was 11 v 11.”
