New blow for Hamilton as club owners battle to avoid collapse
Daily Record

Rob Edwards are trying to balance the books and offload a number of senior players in a bid to cut a wage bill that has been described as “unsustainable” by the club this past week.
The issue is that prospective new owner Edwards’ Morley Sports Management Group does not own the controlling debenture.
It is still in the hands of the Funding Globe.
It came in and covered wages in November and took control of the troubled League One club at the start of the year.
It is looking to be reimbursed for the six-figure fee it paid out for the wages plus interest on top of that.
That figure is understood to have hit around £300,000.
Morley Sports Group bought a 97.5 per cent stake from former owner Seref Zengin, who was deemed not fit and proper to run the club by the Scottish Football Association.
However that didn't include the controlling debenture.
It remains to be seen if Morley Sports will be able to come up with the six-figure fee.
