PPE firm linked to Tory peer is put into administration...

A NOTORIOUS PPE company linked to Baroness Mone is being put into administration.

An application to appoint administrators to PPE Medpro was lodged at the High Court, we can reveal.

The Government is currently suing the company for £134million over unusable hospital gowns.

It is unclear who is behind yesterday's move but one of the applicants is an Isle of Man company managed by a former director of PPE Medpro.

It comes after we revealed that PPE Medpro has just £666,000 left in assets after spending £4.3million defending itself in court.

It is unclear, even if the Government were to win its claim, whether any money would be recouped for the taxpayer.

We were the first to reveal how PPE Medpro, set up by a close associate of Mone and businessman husband Doug Barrowman, won huge government contracts for personal protective equipment. Mone initially denied any involvement in the firm but it emerged she and Barrowman had benefited from £65million in profits.

The couple have been linked to assets worth more than £100million including property, a jet and a yacht.
